Re: Lenses driving me mad. What next??

Just to update - piggybacking going great - wish I had tried it years ago.

As for Blink n Clean - seems to work pretty well for getting rid of light build up. I alternate it with normal drops (as you can only use it about 4 times a day) but together they work great.

Re: Lenses driving me mad. What next??

Has anyone used drops called 'Blink 'n' Clear' before. They are supposed to help remove protein build up and prevent it as well. Have ordered some off internet as I couldn't find anywhere in the shops and just wondered if anyone had any experience of it? Ta Sorry - They're called Blink 'n' Clean - ...

Re: Lenses driving me mad. What next??

Thats good to know Melissa.

My RGP is over 3 years old, so could probably be doing with a wee polish.

Will suggest it next time i'm in.

Thanks

Re: Lenses driving me mad. What next??

I have now been trying piggybacking for a week now, and I must say the imrovement in comfort is really good.

I do have occasions where the RGP gets a bit mucky, but some eye drops seems to help flush it out.

Glad I finally got a satisfactory result! Wish I had tried it years ago.

Re: Lenses driving me mad. What next??

Just an update on whats been happening (been a while) Tried a couple more Kerasofts, but the veision up close was really poor, and I sit in fornt of a PC at work all day. Also, the haloes I was getting were really bad and often ditrsacting. After trying to persist, I gave up and went back to my RGP....

Re: Lenses driving me mad. What next??

Further update: Well I can get it in/out most of teh time OK. Unfortunately my vision is really quite poor :( I had such high hopes this lens would work. I'm due back at the OPticians (I seem to spend half my life there these days) on Thursday, so maybe it just needs a (fairly big) tweak. The lens i...

Re: Lenses driving me mad. What next??

Got the knack!

In is now easy, just pops right in.

I have mastered getting out, just slide it down a litttle bit at the bottom, then I can grab it no problem.

Simples!

Re: Lenses driving me mad. What next??

Funnily enough I had a few last night and I think it was easier. Really need to get your fingers in your eye, weird!

Day 2 : In and out sort of easy enough. Vision a wee bit fuzzy, but early days, will probably take a while for my eye to get used

Re: Lenses driving me mad. What next??

Okay doke. Kerasoft day 1: Bloody hell - how hard to get in/out compared to RGPs !!! However, how bloody comfy. Initially vision was a bit c**p, but improved towards the end of the day enormously.

I think I like them (if i can insert/remove without blinding myself - will take practice!)
