I have Zoomtext on my computer it came as part of a DSA package the guy who came to install it and set up the other software said that zoomtext was not particulary compatible with other manification etc programs. Don't know if this still holds true it was about a year ago.

As a student I get DSA (disabled students allowance) it isn't a money grant instead it provides equipment to help wih your course eg computers with special software or a dictaphone to record lectures. It can also be used to provide funding for notetakers in lectures etc. See this link for more info.
