eReader
I have just bought myself an eReader, to view ebooks - and I love it!. You can make the font nice and big so it's great for us with vision problems. Just thought I'd mention it in case anyone hadn't seen them.

Allow eyes to 'clear' in the mornings before inserting lenses. I need about an hour and a half or I suffer the consequences.
Invest in a dimmer pull cord for the bathroom light. Great on those winter mornings when you have to get ready but the light is TOO bright!

If you can't bear to look at yourself in the morning........
.........because the bathroom light is TOO BRIGHT, I have a solution! I bought a dimmer light pull cord. It has revolutionised my mornings, as I like to have a bath before work and can now do so in the lovely, keratoconus friendly dimness. It can be quite romantic on an evening too. Just a suggestio...

Re: RGP Contact Lenses, Sometimes Blurry. Advice?
Hi
I find not putting the lenses in too early in the morning helps avoid blurriness. It is as if all the gunk is picked up onto the lenses if I put them in first thing. I struggle to work half blind on the bus, then put them in at work, this gives my eyes a chance to clear.

Thinking of you Sweet, as i sit here in the middle of the night, fretting. Like you, post graft, dry eyes, demanding NHS job, feeling physically and mentally shot. Your post has made me think slow down and try to take a bit more care of my eyes, but the reality of the situation is a different matter...

I had a tiny white bit, which was mucous collecting on a loose stitch but this was about 1yr post graft. As Gareth says get this checked out, you cannot be too careful.

Re: Do I have more than KC??
Hi Timtim I can identify with some of these experiences. Flickering - yes. The blank stare thing - yes, I put this down to the eyes staying quite relaxed unless they really need to focus in. Another weird one I have - if I have my eyes closed, in the dark and and I move them around, sort of looking ...
