...I went to the doctor recently and he couldn't find Amidose on his list either, so gave me a few boxes of Steripod. For some reason though, Steripod doesn't feel as good in the Sclerals as Amidose. My sclerals tend to get irritable and uncomfortable quicker wearing Steripod in my sclerals. Maybe i...

Ed, I usually put a towel on my lap so that the saline doesn't go everywhere when putting my sclerals in! lol I've more or less mastered the knack of getting them in now as been wearing them for a few years so tend to have less wet patches everywhere than i used to lol! Some days can be a bugger to ...

Hi, I cant put my Scleral lenses in until after i've had a shower in the mornings. Like you guys said it wakes you up and gets all the gunk out of ur eyes beforehand. Plus Sclerals are so big and fit to almost the whole of the front of your eye, i couldn't do it! lol I have done before, and its the ...

Leftie too lol

Hi, I had Hydrops in my left eye a few years ago and used to be my worst eye. But because of Hydrops, the cornea has flattened a little and now its my right cornea thats more steep and has the worst vision. Its strange how it seems to be always the left eye for most people thats worst affected. Sarah

Steripod

Hello everyone, I currently am wearing Scleral lenses. But i was wondering if i could use Steripod instead of Amidose to fill up the lenses before inserting them into my eyes? Or is Steripod for just for rinsing the eyes, a bit like Optrex? I only ask this as i got given a box of Steripod by my dad ...

Hi Kirsty, I'd just like to say that i found scleral lenses do become more comfortable over time. I have only been wearing them for about a year now. I really hated them at 1st after wearing RGPs for about 4 years, as they felt really uncomfortable, and i didn't wanna change. But my doctor at Mooref...
