Re: Collagen Cross Linking - what's it like?!

Just wondered if anyone had any definitive answers on this yet? I had cross linking in one eye in the summer, had to go private at the time. Very happy, so far, with results. Re: Cross Linking

Well instead of starting a new thread I'd thought I'd just post in my old one. It's been three months (I think) since I had my cross linking. I think it's gone well, I don't really even think about it anymore. Other then at some point I might need it in my right eye and hoping it will be on the NHS ...

Re: Cross Linking

I'm not a doctor but I think it mentioned that stuff, the grit in the eye I remember reading. Mine was also very watery in the first day, and painful. I would keep in contact with your doctor if it persists they should be able to tell you beter if its normal I can only really go on my experience, my...

Re: Cross Linking

I suppose the treatment mimics the condition in that it's a little unpredictable. But, the risks are very low though, for instance risk of infection is 1 in 1000 and I have a ton of drugs i'm taking to help prevent that. Risk of hazing as I said 1%, but that should go in a week and risk of scarring ...

Re: Cross Linking

hi Andrew, Thanks for the kind words. yeah I think it's about a week, he said most people can go back to work after a week. But, I think its the first three days which are the most distorted. Well had it done yesterday! The doc checked my eye today said it was ok. Got a awful lot of drugs to take but I think I have a system now. Written a bit more on my blog about it but probably won't have much more to say for a week or two after the possibility of an infection and when I know if its he...
