Re: Did you See NBC's Report on C3-R & ABC's Story on KC cure?
Hey lars, I think its a risk because the c3r is so new that no one knows if it works long term. There speculating that since the c3r is suppossed to stabilize the cornea then it would be ok to do the prk with no worries of it advancing. couple questions, What is your vision now? is it 20/20? and did...

hey andrew,
I think i was a little too depressing on my last post. I will hope and pray for rosemary that everything goes good in the near future with her grafts.

Re: 11 years and still KC in only one eye?
thanks andrew, i really hope my cornea isnt too thin, though i have had prk done already, which i should have waited for the cross-linking to come out before i did it but who knew. wow rosemary, your case is depressing. Is there anything positive going on with you. It seems like you got the shit end...

I also meant to add that i dont think cxl thins the cornea...just stops the KC from progressing.

Re: Did you See NBC's Report on C3-R & ABC's Story on KC cure?
That would be so nice to "make it better". Im hopefully going for a consultation next week to see if im a good candidate for c3r...then perhaps a touch up of prk since i ve already had prk at 25(31 now) To make my vision 20/20 uncorrected instead of 20/35 uncorrected. I would sure LOVE to ...

Re: 11 years and still KC in only one eye?
hey rosemary,
ive probably already asked you this but what is your best corrected vision. I guess if you r KC isnt advancing now at your age then cxl is not needed. Have you had any consultations done to see if you can have cxl performed, or if your cornea is too thin for surgery?

Re: Did you See NBC's Report on C3-R & ABC's Story on KC cure?
Thanks Andrew,
Im definately going to find out what the risks are before i jump aboard the bandwagon. I find that i am a risktaker in life, always have been, though i only have 2 eyes and i want to keep them for life. I really hope the c3r is as cracked up as eveyones talking about.

Re: 11 years and still KC in only one eye?
hey andrew,
I know that the cxl doesnt reverse KC...but i was hoping for either intacs or prk after so i dont have to wear contacts. There doing clinical trials of prk surgery and so far the cases have been successful.

Re: 11 years and still KC in only one eye?
I would love to try different lens options (only if the c3r doesnt work for me). as the soft toric gives me 20/20 however, Im sick of the ghosting and double vision. I m going to have to look to see if the kerasoft is available in canada. I know it was probably frustrating years ago when technology ...

Re: 11 years and still KC in only one eye?
Hey Gareth, I understand what your saying. If you have 20/15 in your eyes, why change it. Im 31 and still have the possibility of the disease progressing further though i feel like ive been lucky and have only had it in 1 eye for over 11 years. I would say you are older from your KC experience so it...
