Re: Saline for Scleral lenses
I use a preservative free saline made by Sauflon to fill my lenses before inserting - a big bottle costs about £4 if you can find somewhere to buy it!

Re: Dry eyes and contact solution
Hi, I started using Oxysept solution about 5 months ago and have actually been finding I've been using less eye-drops since. I also fill my lenses with a preservative free saline before inserting them (although I use a regular saline to rinse them after cleaning and before disinfection as I found th...

Re: advice re ipad/Samsung tablets
I have an iPad - one feature I really like about it is the ease that you can invert the colours (just quickly press the home button 3 times) - I find it much easier to read white text on a black background when my contacts are out and my glasses are on as there is less glare! You may be able to do t...

Re: Dry Eye Advice
I've been using Clintas Soothe for several years but decided to try a different drop just to see how I got on! Bought some phials of Blink Contacts last week and so far so good (very very early days though) but as others say, it's probably a very personal thing!

Re: Allergic to lens & solution?
Hello - I've had some allergy problems over the Summer this year. Could have been hayfever related or could have been something that got absorbed by the lenses. I wasn't sure if it was the solution or not but decided to change anyway (with approval from my optom) - using Sauflon's ComfortVue now. I ...

Re: Synergy Duette vs. Clearcone
Hello, I had Clearcone lenses for a while but have recently been fitted with new Synergeyes Ultrahealth lenses which have a silicon hydrogel skirt - it could be worth trying these? I'm finding my right lens has been really good (for both comfort and vision) but my left one less so. I have an appoint...

Re: Wearing contacts after eye infection
Thanks for the information Jacob! My optom got back to me and said my normal cleaning procedure should be fine. I don't know the cause of the infection, doctor did a telephone diagnosis! I use amiclair protein remover tablets every 2 weeks so will use that on my lenses also! Thanks again!

Wearing contacts after eye infection
Hi, I've been told I have an eye infection and been given some drops. Won't be wearing my lenses for a few days but my GP mentioned that they might need special cleaning as the bacteria may have been absorbed by the lenses and therefore the infection may re-occur. Waiting for my optom to get back to...

Re: iPad 4 and MacBook Pro Retina displays - a god send for
Interesting conversation thread.... I also recently purchased an iPad for similar reasons but my main issue is reading and using the computer when my contacts are out and I'm wearing specs as I struggle with being able to read clearly! One other feature of the iPad which seems to help quite a bit is...

I don't know about these but I wear Synergeyes Clearkone lenses and have found them to be excellent!
