Am on a bit of a downer at the minute, as I am having trouble with RGP lenses on my right eye, which has the "most" keracatonus. I used to get sore eyes, so a looser fit was tried. After reading numerous websites and other literature, I've noticed KC is always referred to as a disease.

Maybe wrongly, I've always thought of the word "disease" meaning an infectious illness and therefore why is KC classed as such?

I don't want people avoiding me if I tell them I'm diseased!

Do any of you find you get spells of your lens not fitting so well, then settling down again? I seem to get this, but you can guarantee that when my six-monthly check up is due, it fits fine! I guess it is impossible to get a lens to fit 100% with KC as you are trying to squash the cornea into shape...
