Re: Kerasoft 3 lenses

Many thanks Lynn 'Glad you responded as I have previously seen your informative postings on here. Yes I have previously worn RGPs for 20 years and had two successful proud nebulae / scar / "pip" removal operations a few years back! I will have a chat with my excellent optometrist at the ey...

Re: Kerasoft 3 lenses

Thanks Andrew and Gareth!

What is the difference with the IC version (I guess Irregular Cornea) - is this something I should ask about?

Best regards

Kerasoft 3 lenses

Hi all, I have been lucky enough to try Ultravision Kerasoft 3 soft silicon-hydrogel lenses for keratoconus and initial impressions are very good but I have some questions that I wonder if someone can answer before my next visit to the eye hospital. - I find my initial vision sharpness can take quit...

Corneal stiffener (Non-Riboflavin method)

All, I saw this today - I registered with Google to email me whenever there is a story about Keratoconus - recommended! Sounds hopeful but lets wait and see... http://technology.newscientist.com/article/dn15005-invention-eyeball-stiffener.html http://www.wipo.int/pctdb/en/wo.jsp?WO=2008070185 Quote:...

Vision Therapy

All,

Anyone know if Vision Therapy or Behavioural Optometry can assist those of us with KC.
I get relatively good visual acuity with RGPs but never feel particularly confident with my vision.

I can see that it could at least help improve uncorrected vision... any real experiences?

All the best

Re: Mini ARK

Thanks for your quick reply Andrew. The medical world is full of differing opinions which is a positive thing as it drives us towards cures for various illnesses but sadly it can also lead towards a seemingly blinkered approach. I would like to see a healthy medical debate with the pros and cons of ...

Re: Lost Confidence

Chris, Sorry to hear of your problem with grit in both eyes. Confidence is a problem for me generally. One idea I did find that is similar to that demonstrated by Paul McKenna on TV is EFT and although I haven't stuck at it, it looks very interesting and may work on improving confidence for 'some'. ...

Mini ARK

Hi

Has anyone been treated with Mini ARK as described at lombardieyeclinic.com in Rome?
'Sounds too good to be true so I am interested in firsthand experiences.

Thanks
All the best

Re: Cloudy/foggy lenses

Hi, I've had the same problem and it turned out to be lack of tear exchange. Basically mucus and tears would build up under the lens (sometimes within a short period of time) and then have no where to go. A change in fit should resolve the problem but I agree we can all speculate as to what is the a...

Re: Las Vegas!

We went to Vegas in May and had no problems with my eyes but I did suffer from unusual nose bleeds much to the concern of those around me - apparently though this is not uncommon due to the low humidity! http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/A412606 Hope you have a great time - it is a great place! PM me if...
