Re: Son having op

Thanks for the micropore tape tip (that doesn't roll off the tongue). I'm off to check my medicine cabinet. I know I have at least one reel. On the Sun glasses front. A friend was visiting from Australia and had a pair of Fitovers. I had never come across these before. She has kindly sent me a pair ...

Re: Son having op

Hi Anne,

My best wishes for your son. I haven't been on for sometime. I too have been waiting for 6 mths for my op. I go into hospital next Monday (10th) for my graft, so found the posts here very interesting. I'll pop on over the next few days to see how his doing.

Regards

Linda

Re: Just to say Thanks

Thanks Rosemary, Andrew, and Gareth, I had thought that was the case, but you know what it's like when your told something by an "official" person you immediately think that you have the wrong end of the stick. Having said that I do like to try to find out all about what I've been told so ...

Re: Just to say Thanks

Hi, To you all, thanks for the colour coordinated garden tips. Also Hi to all of the Bus pass people, nice to know I'm not on my own. May I ask you a question related to grafts. From what I have read on this forum and the other info. I have seen. I thought I'd read that tissue matching wasn't done. ...

Re: Just to say Thanks

Hi Andrew, Sorry I think you miss understood. It was my spelling I should have said "through" not threw. With my nose pressed up to the screen and blurred sight I'm finding that it's a bit of a struggle doing even some of the most routine things. My weeding the borders is an interesting on...

Re: Just to say Thanks

Hi Susan, I don't think your greedy. If you'd have asked you could have had mine too! I'm lucky I had my BUS PASS birthday last August so I don't have to work. I do admire you holding down a job whilst dealing with the Hydrops problems. Chin-up. When I get low or frustrated I just give myself a good...

Re: Just to say Thanks

Hi Rosemary. You ask why the consultant wouldn't let me go back to wearing my Scleral lens. When I asked him, I was told it was because I had so much scarring and distortion which was right in front of the pupil, they would not be able to get me any sort of useful sight with a lens. He also said tha...

Re: Just to say Thanks

Hello Rosemary. Thanks for the welcome. You ask why my consultant is planning to do the graft. I saw him last Thursday, six weeks after the Hydrops happened. I had visited Eye Casualty the week before I saw him and they were pleased that the water logging had gone down, and the clouding had gone. Th...

Just to say Thanks

I have had KC for over 20 years. I've worn G.P. lens in both eyes. Two years ago I had a Scleral lens fitted in my right eye. In January I experienced my first Hydrops in that eye. This was quite frightening because I didn't know what was happening. My Doctor and Eye casualty were brilliant, but I d...
