Re: Sport after cornea transplant

I have had a corneal raft and a couple of months ago an ICL implant.I regularly go mountain biking, road cycling and swim.As long as you take the normal precautions, like goggles for swimming and I wear clear glasses for cycling to keep debris out, you`ll be fine.

Continue to have good progress.Graft settling down nicely, pressure reading OK too. Refraction test only showed marginal improvement so far, although doing the pinhole test I could see the whole chart. No longer need to take Chloramphenicol, just the Maxidex. So far so good.Next visit in 12 weeks time....

I have KC (not too bad mind)in my right eye and am wearing a daily disposable ,as I write this now.
According to Ken Pullum at Moorfields,if it works for you,do it! :)

1) That my graft is still working when I die.
2) Shorter clinic waiting times at Moorfields.
3) That KC in my right eye does not progress further.

Had a bit of a fright yesterday. My 2 year old son managed to poke me in the eye.Fortunately seems OK now!
And from today I am on a 4 hourly regime with the drops, which is a problem, because its much easier to forget to do them!
