Post Graft Vision

If you have had a graft can you describe to me what your vision was like in the early days and then later on so i can compare with how i am seeing. Straight after the op it was as if I was looking through a very thick layer of vaseline and now 2 months on it's as if i am looking through a thin layer...

Hey Meurig, I had my graft on 21 june and can honestly say that the pain factor for me was negligible. I have had no problems at all so far. However the vision from that eye is not "useful" if you know what i mean. I feel like i am looking through creased up cling film! But it is early days yet. If ...

I'm Back

Hi all, remember me? I had my graft to the left eye on June 21st and so far touch wood its been ok. I don't have any useful vision from it but from day one I have only had to use one lot of drops-(pred forte)- steroids. No problems with pressure and no rejection episodes yet She said tempting fate. ...

Thanks for that Lynn,
I think I will invest in a pair.
Mind I think I must be the bionic woman of KC. I have been wearing my lenses for 16 hours a day seven days a week for the last 8 years. And I work on computers for 8 hours a day. My optician has never told me to cut down!

Gareth forgot to say I hope this won't interfere with your plans to enter your bike at the Croft in July.

Hi Eileen, Just wanted to say that you have done the right thing by looking up all you can straight away about KC. Knowledge is power! You will now be in a much better position to discuss your son's treatment with the consultants. As usual the guys who have posted before me have given you some reall...

Ali (& Lynn) I would be interested to know under what circumstances you would suggest the use of the pinhole glasses that Jacqueline has asked about in one of the earlier posts on the forum. A the end of te day my eyes do get tired and I would like to take out my lenses but I can't read or watch...

Hi shoayb,
I agree strongly with your comments in that last post. If I had looked up this forum sooner, and read up on all of the other information available to KC sufferers I would have been able to ask a lot more questions about my treatment and options than I have done.

Hello guys Thanks for thinking about me. I have the op on 21 June all being well! Obviously I am still scared about what is to come but I am feeling less doubtful about actually having it done now. I spoke to my optician about my doubts as to why I was having the graft at this time when I saw how ot...
