Re: Sport after cornea transplant
Hi guys I can def agree with Tom on the whole weight thing. It is amazing how doing nothing for a few weeks can pile the pounds on quickly!! Good luck with the graft Shahar and my advice would be listen to a) your consultant b) your body and take it REALLY easy for the first few weeks as it will pay...

Re: Sport after cornea transplant
Hi Shahar I had a graft 4 months ago and I am running between 5-10km every other day fine now. I also cycle everyday and do handweights but have been told to limit any weight to 5kg. I can do yoga but no headstands and no swimming for time being. One thing I have found that if you listen to your bod...

Hi everyone-4 month update

Re: GRAFT ON MONDAY AND GENERAL UPDATE
Hi Alison I had a PK op back in January and I ended up having 5 weeks off work. I would advise just to take it really easy for the first month as Andrew has already mentioned. I joined the 30 day trial of a well known DVD rental company which certainly killed a few hours!!!! What graft are you havin...

Re: Keratoconus contact Lenses
Hi there I am having the same issue with the RGP I have just had fitted. I can wear it for about 3-4 hours a day but all I think about is how uncomfortable it is for the first hour or so and as with you the clarity is not great. I wonder the same is it worth it? but as the sight in my newly grafted ...

Re: I'm Officially Grafted!
Hi red-eye Good to see you back online. Excellent news that your graft is going well and pressure has sorted itself out :D Bit of a bummer that my right eye has got worse but at least it can be corrected with a lens. Having an RGP fitted on Saturday morning. Left eye graft is great though. It'll be ...

Re: NEED INFO ON DALK
Hi Waseem I was due to have a DALK a month ago but ended up with a PK in the end due to the extent of the scarring I had. I too work in an office and 5 weeks on I am looking at going back on a staggered return to work building up my hours to full time again gradually. At B&Q are you expected to ...

Re: I'm Officially Grafted!
Hi Red-eye Sorry, forgot you had deep scarring too! Yes I am still wearing the shield. I have a lovely mark on my face every morning that seems to takes hours to go but never mind! I am sure you are right about the drops and lens as now it is out the drops sting much more than before. As with Johnny...

Re: I'm Officially Grafted!
Hi Red-eye I am so glad all wnet OK and you are doing well! I was thinking of you last Thursday. I have just had my 4 week check up and all is looking very good (apart from the fact they had left a contact bandage in for four weeks and noone had noticed. Luckily a student noticed this afternoon!) I ...
