2019 Meetings

A big thank you to the 32 people that came to the 11th March meeting and especially to Denise McCormick, our speaker, who gave much useful information and generated a lot of discussion. We also had a brief but interesting summary of the personal account of someone affected by KC who has self-publish...

Reminder of Next Meeting Saturday 9th March 2019

Our next meeting in Birmingham is at 11:00 on the top floor of John Lewis as usual with a talk on the services offered by Birmingham Vision, one of the local support charities; there are many such organisations around the country and we should all be aware of these services. As well as our speaker, ...

Re: RNIB FILM -"IT COULD Damage the cause of our group"

I believe it would be useful to consider where RNIB are coming from which, to my mind, is trying to help and raise awareness. Re: glasses worn over RGP lenses

I've worn glasses over contact lenses for decades Mikey and never had or been told there is a problem. I think at an earlier stage of my KC this was to get a better balance of corrective power between the contact lenses so some power went on one spec lens but I have been through many types of lenses...

Re: Is there anyone with KC who childdren have not got it.

To add to the positive messages Lola, I believe I was the only one in my family with KC across many aunts, uncles and cousins and none of my 3 children have it (they were closely monitored) or any of the 3 grandchildren (although they are all under 5 years old at present). I can't think of many peop...
