Hi Penelope, I loved reading but also found it difficult when i developed KC. With my array of different contact lenses, the scratches, the ulcers and eventually the transplant... i almost stopped reading (other than work)... then i got a kindle keyboard.... now i read whenever i can. i do sometimes...

Hi That they are offering you glasses is a good sign. I was told to try to stay away from lenses on my grafted eye if possible. Having stitches out is a tough one. I had it done in the chair with local anaesthetic drops and it wasn't painful but was very uncomfortable and took a lot of patience and ...

i am an architect.... my challenges are dust and wind on sites... and airconditioning in the office and staring at a computer.... and trying to see drawings across boardroom tables... my solutions (although not perfect ) are....wrap around glasses and sunglasses..... rewetting drops and flaxseed oil...

In south africa I was told the wait could be 2 years. I ended up paying for donor tissue to be flown out from USA (apparently they send their excess to the third world countries). hi all, i downloaded the Kindle App for my iphone and LOVE it... because the phone is small and i keep the font quite large i have to switch pages often, but i have quickly gotten used to it and love that i can hold my 'book' with one hand and change pages with a light touch on the side of the scree...
