Re: water and K
how is it affecting your vision? I notice a massive difference if i'm dehydrated. To keep your fluids on a level balance you need to consistently drink sufficient fluid each day - you body initially stores it as it doesnt know when its going to get the next lot - same as starving yourself isnt a way...

Re: Extreme light sensitivity
Initally i noticed some sensitivity following cxl, however this had gone within the first couple of months. I havent noticed any longterm increase in light sensitivity since having cxl done 2 years ago and intacs 1 year ago. I am now living in australia and just coming into summer and can still mana...

Re: In a lot of pain!!
From my own experience, regarding KC care, if u are under a smaller nhs hospital then the knowledge isnt there so the care seems lower. However at the more specialist eye hospitals the knowledge is more extensive and therefore the standard of care seems better. My treatment at my initial hospital wa...

Re: Cross Linking - After Effects
I had to get my husband to help me to backwash my hair (it is somewhere down my back for not easy to wash) for about 3 weeks after cxl. I was bathing for around the same length of time. When i did finally shower i was extremely careful about getting shampoo and soap in my eyes and rinsing with salin...

Re: Going back to contacts after Intacs
My astigamitism went from -10 to -7, and for me that was just outside the realm of gettting some vision in glasses we almost got there so dont discount the possibility until you have an eye test. I could see barely anything prior to the opp and only a line or so after without correction. I did have ...

Re: Going back to contacts after Intacs
I had cxl 2-3 years ago, intacs last november and was cleared in april this year for trying contact lenses.
You will need to see your CL fitter as it is most likely your eye shape has changed so dont just start wearing your old CL without being reassessed.

Re: Cross Linking - After Effects
I had no end of pain until the bandage contact lens was taken out the following day after cxl. Could barely open my eye. I was recommended to take co-codamol rather than paracetamol after my procedure. I just took co-codamol and turned the lights out and slept/dozed for as much as was possible. Cont...

Re: What do I do
yes it is normal for your vision to be worse after cxl, part of the procedure is to 'scratch' the cornea so the collegan gets through the first layer. it will get better over time.
