Re: Toric ICL
So here is an update from my side. I am almost at 1 year post op with my toric ICL in my left eye, it has been absolutely brilliant so far, and I just hope it will stay the same. However I have had another eye hicup when I went to one of my routine eye appointments as the doctor noticed that it look...

Re: Toric ICL
Yes I am in te process of getting my right eye (worse eye) done, but since I am totally visually reliant on my left eye (my right does nothing but gives me massive smears of brake lights at night) I decided to get the left eye done first, so I am functional without other visual aids and then work to...

Re: Implantable contact lenses
Hi, I have had CXL in both eyes and had a Toric ICL implanted into my left eye (my good eye) 2 months ago. All good so far (touch wood) and it was not a painful procedure at all, my vision was 20/10 the next day (bilateraly aswell despite my right eye being visually useless). I am now in the process...

Toric ICL
Hi all, Just wanted to post my experience with the Toric ICL implantation as I notice there are not many posts on this topic at all and honestly it has changed my life (though it was only done 3 days ago so I realise it is only early days!) ! I have had KC for 10 years and have been lucky enough to ...

Re: C3R - Corneal Collagen Crosslinking!
pally, I did not have m CXL done in the UK but I did look into it and I was going to go to Accuvision in London. I had my 'moderate' KC eye done first and now I need to have my 'mild' K eye done, has been the best thing I have done in relation to my KC so far. Good luck.

Re: Did you See NBC's Report on C3-R & ABC's Story on KC cure?
It is fair to say that the KC 'may' not have progressed much further anyway (but we can never know for sure without the use of a timemachine!) and I think it is also fair to say that it is highly unlikely that the KC would have reversed itself without intervention such as CXL, so it obviously works ...

Re: collagen cross linking help
Hi coops, Just want to let you know that I have had CXL/Crosslinking in my worst eye (RE) and it has been the best thing I have done for my KC since I found out about it. I had CXL almost a year and a half ago and and as of January 2008 until March 2009 my KC has not progressed in this eye, it has i...

Re: PRK or LASEK after CXL
Just wanted to update that I have decided I am going to go ahead with the PRK/CXL. I found a really great Dr who really knew his stuff, and has the best technology on offer. He did not make a snappy decision and want to use me as guinea pig; he took my file to a recent conference and met with the pe...

Re: CXL Debate
Hi rsnr, I had my CXL a year and a half ago, and at that time my Dr. here in Dubai had done it one a good few people but not to the same extent that she has now. Even so I decided to go ahead with it as she had a good reputation and sometimes you just have to take a risk (a calculated one of course!...
