Re: Hello
Chris. I'll be yet another person to add there info to the mix. As stated already most people who post on here are either new KC suffers finding out what it's all about, and then there are the people where it's got to the operation stages. I started with KC when i was 11 and happily coped with lense...

Re: Corneal Ulcers. Advice Needed
Graeme Thanks for your responce. I went back to casualty this morning and have to keep using the antibiotic eye drops but at a reduced rate for the net five days. Instead of every hour it's down to 4 times a day. I've been given some steroid drops as there is a slight hazy patch on my cornea where t...

Corneal Ulcers. Advice Needed
Hello all. I've not been on here for quite a while mainly due to not having any problems. I wear RGP's in both eyes and had a partial thickness graft in my right eye 3.1/2 years ago and things have been going along nicely. On Tuesday however my boss mentioned that my right eye looked sore and it was...

Re: PC Screen Settings
Gareth
The magnification utility in windows was something i've never even thought of using. I've just tried it and i'm gonna use it tomorrow at work and see how it goes. I think that may solve all my problems.
Thanks
Neil

Re: Clueless newcomer!!
Samuel Glad to hear things went well. Fitting lenses can take time to get right. Getting the vision right is quicker than getting them to fit your eye well. As for if you need to see your GP about a referal to hosipltal. I'd talked to your optician about it. It may be that he thinks it's not worth i...

Re: Clueless newcomer!!
Samuel As people have already said the progression of KC vaires alot. My left eye started when i was about 11 and the right eye started a couple of years later. It's been a gradual progression of getting worse until i had a partial graft in my right eye 2 years ago. My right eye started later but at...

Re: Clueless newcomer!!
Andrew When i was first diagnosed the hospital i was going to was Furness General in Barrow-in-Furness and since i went to uni in Sheffield in 1995 it has been The Royal Hallamshire. Furness General didn't organise my contact lenses which was left to my optician. i was given standard RGP's which rea...

Re: Clueless newcomer!!
Samuel The idea of getting a referal from you GP to the hospital quickly is great from my experiance. My optician picked up i had KC when i was 11 (now 31) and all they did get me to see the contact lens guy that they had there. He prescribed badly fitting lenses that kept coming out have scarred my...

Re: pascalini graft update
Matthew. Day clinic is fine for this op. I had a partial graft over 2 years now and i decided to stay in overnight as i live on my own and they weren't keen on me going home same day as no one was there to look after me. After having done it though i could easily have managed to go home the same day...
