Re: Intacs Removal
Thanks guys! My operation was done privately and I have my final follow up appointment next month. I would seriously think carefully if you are considering intacs. There really is no quick fix for keratoconus and I think I was a little unrealistic about the chances of their success. That is not to s...

Intacs Removal
Hi Everyone, I was just after some advice on my intacs. I haven't posted here for a while as I wanted to let things settle before I came to any conclusions about my progress over the last few months. I have now had intacs in for over a year (14 months) and after the initial hopes of improvement I ha...

Aaarrgh!
I was wondering if anyone could help. I'm having a really bad stint of dry itchy eye syndrome. I thought it was maybe due to overwearing the new lenses, but after spending the day outside I've realised it's the dreaded hayfever. Has anyone any suggestions to relieve it? I tried eye drops (normal one...

Kerasoft 3
I have finally got both of my Kerasoft 3 lenses and I absolutely love them!! Thanks Lynn and the rest of your team. The hospital I go to have also been very encouraging and at my appointment yesterday I was able to read the line one up from the bottom and even got a couple of letters on the bottom l...

Re: Time off Work??
I had a week with the op on the Monday. I felt okay by Thursday/Friday, but when I went back to work the week after my eye got really tired in the afternoons and I suffered a few mild headaches.

Re: Anyone tried Kerasoft 3 lenses?
Hi Oli, I am currently in the process of being fitted with Kerasoft 3 (my left lens has just been sent back for a prescription change). Having never really got on with RGP I can;t make much of a comparison I'm afraid, but so far I have been pleased with the results I've had from my lenses - much bet...

Re: Kerasoft Success!
Just a little update. I had my check up today and they have sent one of my lenses off to have the perscription changed. I am still really happy with the lenses - Matthew maybe you should give the kerasoft 3 a try, I am getting very good vision through they now compared to my specs, even at night. On...

Re: INTACS experiences
Sorry to hear your intacs are causing discomfort.
I can honestly say I can't feel mine, unless I press my eye - which I obviously don't make a habit of!
The only thing that I really get is that I can see the edges of my intacs in dimly lit places like the pub or theatre.

Re: which KC symptom that affects you the most?
I would say mine is the glare which results from having KC. I fine myself watching the lines produced around everything rather than focussing on what I'm supposed to be looking at. It's really distracting!

Kerasoft Success!
Dear All, I just wanted to update you on my progress re the kerasoft 3 lenses. You may remember I had intacs put in to my right eye in October. The latest on my vision with glasses is that I can now see 6/9 on the chart, although there is a fair amount of distortion which is not ideal. The kerasoft ...
