Re: Surgery Scheduled for February

Hi Danielle Its a small world! Good to see that you'll be back in time for paddy's day! I wont be having surgery on my other eye since the vision is very good, for now at least. Im 28 and told that it's unlikely that it will get much worse - fingers crossed. I did wear a hard lens about 11 years ago...

Re: Removal Of Stitches

Hi Shabana I had some of my stitches out just last thursday, only mine have only been taken out whilst sitting at the slit lamp. I only had my graft back at the end of Sept and i had the first one out in November and then another in December. The first time was a bit of a surprise. The doctor just t...

Re: Surgery Scheduled for February

Hi Danielle I've just recently had a transplant in one eye at the end of last september. Everything so far has gone well and i've never experienced any pain, just some discomfort, particularly for the first week or two whilst i was using one of the dilating eye drops - i forget its name. That made m...

Participating in water sports

Hi there, I'm 28 and have KC in my right eye. I'm going in for a graft in the coming month but i've recently gained an interest in watersports... namely windsurfing. It's bad timing i know, but i've been putting off getting into it as i know it won't be possible after the graft. My assumption has be...

Re: Difference between transplants?

Hi John & Andrew Thanks for both of your replies, its good to hear from someone thats had both types of graft. Out of interest, how long does it take for your vision to settle? I assume that it will be cloudy for some time, but does it just change very slowly over the course of the year? As for ...
