Re: Hylo-night discontinued?

I recently came to the end of my last 3-pack and was surprised to find it was no longer available from the usual sources so also assumed that it's been discontinued. I've moved to Xailin Night instead but I definitely preferred Hylo - Night. My optometrist also suggested it as an alternative so happ...

Re: Scleral Lenses: Flying + Swimming

I wore sclerals (both large and mini) over a 15 year period but no longer do so for tolerance reasons. The biggest issue I had with wearing them on short haul flights is that I often struggle to stay awake. As a result there are times where I did wear them for the duration of a flight, fell asleep w...

Re: Jumping between private and NHS for lenses

I can't imagine a hospital being willing to do this even though I've had many occasions where a hospital or optometrist has gone above and beyond when it comes to ordering via the NHS.

Re: How do you clean your plunger...?

I'm actually going the opposite direction, after nearly 20 years of wearing sclerals I'm going back to RGPs but piggy backing this time. I loved my time with sclerals once I got over my initial hesitation but I've been having tolerance issues the past few years. As for cleaning my plunger, I often ...

Re: Blepharitis

I get Lumecare ones on amazon primarily because they are more affordable than some other brands available on the High Street.

Re: Blepharitis

I believe I have blepharitis on 1 eyelid. I've a good microwave heated eye thingy from "eye doctor", use that for 10 mins, followed by 30 secs massage, found a good ophthalmologist youtube vid for instructions. It's definitely easier to do it using some "Blephagel" with the inde...

Re: Dry Eye Article in Newsletter

I've never had issues and I've visited and lived in warmer and more humid climates over the years but others may have a different experience.

Dry Eye Article in Newsletter

I just received my newsletter and would like to thank all those involved with putting it together, especially in the absence of any physical get togethers. The article on dry eye and KC couldn't have been more timely for me to read. Right now I'm going through a real bad patch when it comes to toler...

Re: Some good news y'all!

Always good to read a positive story like this. Congrats on 11 years of good vision and long may it continue. I was in a similar position to yourself, diagnosed at a similar age, I battled my way through university (although they did help me a lot I have to say) but have been avoiding surgery on the...
