Re: Dizziness...

about the possibility of an inner ear problem...I have noticed recently that when I turn my eyes as far as I can to the right or the left, I feel a pressure in my ears...almost a pulling feeling. Maybe this is a sign that I do have some sort of inner ear problem (unless my bad eyes just somehow stra...

Re: Dizziness...

I found out this week that I am allergic to dustmites, and I believe this was causing some of my problems. So I'm going to work on treating that and see how things go. I will definitely mention the possibility of an inner ear problem to my doc, because that is something that I have not checked into ...

Dizziness...

Does anyone else experience dizziness because of their keratoconus? I have been feeling dizzy, and just kind of "off-centered" in my head for a while now. If I turn my head, it gets worse. I also have a really hard time following things with my eyes, and if a lot is going on around me (peo...

Following things with your eyes

Does anyone else have major problems folllowing moving things with their eyes? My biggest problem is my eyes focusing together, and I've noticed that this has gotten REALLY bad for me. For example, if a car drives by, or a fly buzzes around in front of my face. I feel like I get so disoriented if I ...

Re: which KC symptom that affects you the most?

My biggest problem is the difficulty that my eyes have focusing together. I feel like my brain is straining all day just trying so hard to see things. It really puts a big strain on it, and I feel mentally tired a lot and it affects my mental state and confidence.

Re: Bates Method of natural eyesight improvement

yeah Andrew, that's pretty much exactly what the book says about the use of sunglasses. I use them almost everytime I go in the sun, so I think I'm going to try to change that to some extent. My light sensitivity is pretty bad, and my sensitivity to glare (like the sun reflecting off of a car) is ex...

Re: Bates Method of natural eyesight improvement

Also, to answer your question about why glasses were invented in the first place...I would say (based on what the books answer would me...not mine), that people began to need vision correction because they were not using their eyes correctly and it made their vision bad (not centralizing, relaxing, ...

Re: Bates Method of natural eyesight improvement

Thanks Lynn, its good to get your point of view and what you've learned on it. My next question is, why do they continue to make books based on such old ideas if it's incorrect? Just to make money I guess. I mean, the book I bought is fairly new I believe. I'm confused why they would continue to mak...

Re: Bates Method of natural eyesight improvement

That's interesting, Lynn. The last thing you said, about how strain is caused by NOT wearing your glasses, is the exact opposite of what the book I am reading ("Relearning to See" by Thomas Quackenbush) says over and over again. Not to say I don't believe you...some of the stuff in the boo...

Bates Method of natural eyesight improvement

I have been reading an interesting book based on the Bates Method of improving eyesight naturally. Does anyone know if this can help keratoconus? I am constantly trying new and stronger lenses, and basically the book says that this is putting more and more strain on the eye muscles and the brain, ma...
