Re: Best solution for GP Lenses
This is really interesting. I’ve been using total for over 30 years and in the last few months my lenses are clouding up within ten minutes of putting them in. I’ve blamed dry eye. I’ve tried everything but now I’m wondering if they’ve changed the solution. Is it just me or are others having this pr...

Re: Dry Eye
Thank you that’s brilliant advice and really helpful. I’ll call the gp tomorrow to try and get a prescription and a referral as it’s really affecting everything from driving to work. Many thanks I’ll let you know how I get on.

Dry Eye
After a hydrops last November and months of recovery I rather naively thought I was luckily out of the woods. However I have been experiencing dry eye for a few years now and it’s effect in the eye that didn’t have hydrops is really frustrating me. I can’t see it’s like looking through frosted glass...

Re: Hard Contact lens shortage
I’ve noticed this as well. I ordered online and that hadn’t arrived earlier so I guess they are swamped with orders. No idea what to do if this doesn’t resolve soon as contacts are not optional for kerataconus patients.

Re: Night Vision
Hi I think a lot of kerataconus patients have problems with night vision and as you mention halos around lights can be a big problem. I wear ridgid gas permeable lenses and still struggle with motorway driving at night so try to avoid it if I can. You may find lenses improve your night vision so may...

Re: Contact Lenses after hydrops
Hi Thank you so much for the replies. It’s great to hear from others who experienced this condition first hand. I am with my optician rather than eye clinic in the hospital, as the hospital registrar just put me on a waiting list for a graft rather than wait for things to settle down. I got a second...

Re: Contact Lenses after hydrops
Hi, I think he’s worried that any abrasion caused by the lens could cause further hydrops. I’m not sure if this is a risk or it’s just that he’s not seen many cases like mine before but I do have an area of scaring on my eye at the peak of my kerataconus.

Contact Lenses after hydrops
Hi, I posted a little while ago after a hydrops in my left eye. I am now 3 months after the hydrops and a little confused. I have tried a gp lens in the eye and my vision is actually better. My contact lens practitioner is not clear how to proceed. I’m not sure how likely it is that a new lens would...
