Ortho-k

Has anyone looked at trialling ortho k lenses after having cxl? I know there have been studies carried out at using orthok in conjunction with cxl - ie at the time of the cxl procedure and the shape hasn't been maintained. I'm just curious if anyone has tried orthok for regular daily use after cxl?

Re: Scleral lens disappointment

Hello drg, I've since spoken to the surgeon who implanted the toric oil and he's told me that he wouldn't expect the toric scleral to work on top of a toric iol - have you ever had this situation? I remember the lens fitter saying that the lens rotated a lot also, so getting good vision would be imp...

Scleral lens disappointment

I've previously had: cxl, intacs, toric phakic oil and lipiview Since these treatments I've men left with a small prescription in my right eye and I still get ghosting . Yesterday I went for a scleral lens fitting and was unfortunately quite disappointed, scleral lenses are phenomenally comfortable,...

Re: Sclerals lens expectations

Thanks for the feedback, I guess as with everything KC related - every case is individual and you can't use stats to determine the likelyhood of an outcome. James, why were the lenses unsuccessful for you? I've tried 100s of kerasoft lenses so sclerals are my last resort - I've been impressed with B...

Sclerals lens expectations

I've suffered with KC for a few years now and have undergone most KC related treatments known to man; I've had intacs (insertion, extraction and reinsertion), cxl, phakic toric iol, lipiflow and kerasoft lenses. I've also had binocular therapy with Barnard Levit. Since being with simon levy at http:...

New prescription and severe headaches

I suffer from PMD and have recently undergone a bilateral toric IOL implant. The surgery was 10 weeks ago and at the weekend I went for an eye test and picked up my new glasses. Since my procedure my vision has been quite good and I’ve been able to function without glasses, albeit I’ve been getting ...

Re: Cataract and lens implant

Have your stiches been removed yet? I've read that there can be significant changes after suture removal

Re: Toric ICL

I shall hopefully be having IOLs next year. I have done a fair amount of reading into the risks and they do seem minimal. There are some good youtube videos of the op - the op is about 30mins long and looks a lot more involved than tratment which i've already had - ie cxl and intacs and punctal plug...
