Re: NHS beds going

When I had my graft done in Windsor in 2006 they only had a day ward and no overnight stay facilities. Re: Spare lenses - are they are luxury or a necessity?

Re: Wearing Scleral for the 1st time

I know what you mean by feeling drunk. I think you can put it down to the extra weight of the lens on the eye, as you move the eye tends to lag behind a bit and that gives you the same effect as having a few too many.

Re: 10th Anniversary!

Happy anniversary Paul, my 10th anniversary is on April 10th. One rejection episode a year later over Easter and no problems since. Got a perfect prescription and fit for the contact lens in operated eye and can almost read right to the bottom of the chart.

Re: Next London members meeting 19th March

Just a quick post to bring to bring this back onto the front page with two weeks to go. I will be turning up as usual but will have to leave early as I have another meeting to go to in Fleet Street in the afternoon.

I only met Andrew once, when we had our conference in Glasgow in 2009. He was always there for anybody in the group with advice and gave a good talk about he life with KC. A group of us went out for a meal in the evening and had a great chat with him over a meal and a beer or two. He will be missed ...

Re: Celebs with KC

Not a celeb but a sportsman. Steven Holcomb who was the driver for the USA 2 & 4 man bob in the winter olympics. They mentioned during the TV coverage one day that he had tried to commit suicide a few years ago because he was having trouble driving the bob due to double vision caused by his corn...
