The main thing I would say is don't beat yourself up about it. Accept whatever happens as normal and try not to get stressed about it. You need enough mental energy just to find your way back and learn all the new stuff you gotta learn and reform the new working relationships. Don't waste any of you...

Then when I went back for my six week check she's decidsed to give me another six weeks before having me back again to discuss pos...

I got myself referred to an eye hospital first, who then referred me back to a local optom who has a specialist lens fitter & plenty of experience with KC. I have had all kinds of awful experiences with high st optoms before this, so finding a firm with a friendly professional who knows why my e...

Mine is very mild - I have managed perfectly well with glasses for 20 yea...

I'm right handed.

My left eye went first and was very much the worst eye for some time, with the right one almost normal.

Hi, you asked my age so I'll tell you - but don't tell a soul please. I'm 39 - going to be 40 in the summer. I was just diagnosed with KC at Christmas, although now I know a bit more about it I can see that all of my sight problems have been down to mild KC all along, which was so mild to be below t...

This site does seem scary, but as one of the moderators kindly pointed out when I joined, it's only usually the people having a bad time and needing support who post - that's why the site can give the impression that KC is worse than it is. There are hundreds of people out there with KC who are lead...

I had my first contact lens fitting on 25th January this year. it was agony just like you described. The first lens she put in was awful - the fit was all wrong but she needed to see it in my eye to decide what the correct fit should be. She tried a different lens on 25th January which was already b...
