Re: links between keratoconous and other conditions?

Yeah, being bendy is great for climbing - and I guess, yoga, martial arts, gymnastics, all sorts of stuff! Slightly worried about the heart valve thing though. :?

why won't my messages outbox empty??

... what am I doing wrong? I tick them, select go - nothing. Shut down, open up, leave it a few hours - try again, still nothing. Yeah, I know I'm not very computer literate - someone tell me what I'm doing wrong!!

links between keratoconous and other conditions?

Hello. I understand that keratoconous is linked to weak collagen links caused by a number of different genes - and I heard that people with keratoconous are more likely to be bendy and double-jointed - which is good for me, cos I'm a climber and I'm much more bendy than other people I go climbing wi...

opthalmologists in Hampshire for my Mum

Hello. My Mum has been told there's something wrong with her corneas by her gp and optician and told to chose one of the hospitals in southern Hampshire to see an opthalmologist for tests &c. She's anxious about it - probably my fault as I had some trouble with incorrect diagnoses and subsequent...

Re: Declaring an interest in a contact lens company

Lynn, we need you on this forum with the depth of knowledge of keratoconus that you have. You taking a new job working to develop new lenses to help people with keratoconus emphasises your commitment. Thanks for all your help and good luck with the new job!

Re: crosslinking

Hi, I heard they had the go-ahead for c3r trials in Birmingham but hadn't actually started yet - but that was a few months ago so the situation may have progressed, does anyone know? I would be very keen to have it done too.

Re: After a few months in RGP's...

You're not getting air bubbles under the lens are you? - mine go cloudy sometimes with air bubbles, I move them around my eye a bit, maybe with some drops in and it usually goes away. I think it's when the fit's not perfect that you get a lot of air bubbles but a perfect fit isn't always possible. G...

C3-R trials

Hi! At the last Midlands Group meeting in Birmingham there was mention of future C3-R trials starting at Birmingham & Midland Eye Centre. Does anyone have any more information? ... when is it starting, do you need to be on their books to be included in the trials? ... &c.
Thanks.

I don't have a graft or intacs and my left pupil is still bigger than the right one! - my left one is worse sight-wise, stronger keratoconus. I only noticed it recently, thought it was probably due to a dodgy brain.
