Re: Honest Opinions Please

It is regrettable that I did not meet professionals like yourself, Ali, during my life. I only know how dependent I was...

Re: Honest Opinions Please

I am not referring to adults with family commitments and the like. But I would certainly suggest that for those without dependents, especially children or youths and anybody outside working life, it would pay to look at the source of the problems behind the KC rather than just willingly accept what ...

Re: Honest Opinions Please

Hi, I am sorry if I keep putting my five pence worth in from time to time when individuals are seeking frank advice. As somebody who wore RGPs for almost 15 years and then so to speak went against all the advice I was given and have gotten better for it I think I am somewhat qualified. There are tho...

Re: IMPORTANT Spam PM's

Thanks Gareth, Unfortunately I only saw this alert after I went into the message. No flashing username and password on my screen so hopefully that means that you disabled this scam before I tried to activate the link!! Should I still run an antivirus check??
Thanks again and hope all well..

Magnification/ reader software Supernova/ Lunarplus/Zoomtext

Hi there, I'm currently trialling the above magnification /reader software, demonstration copies of which I obtained from the RNIB. You can get this through Access to Work for employment purposes , although for private purposes you need to shell out yourself. The advantage is that with this software...

I am not particularly determined to find a non-surgical cure, but I know that after a year or so following the kind of dietary strictures I have been and incidentally not wearing contacts, i have noticed an improvement in the quality of my eyesight, confirmed through the new prescription i recently ...

Printing

Would it be possible to establish a function so that one can print directly pages from the website; more importantly discussion forum in print ready format. Printing directly off the webpage means that some of the text gets lost even if you highlight. And copying and pasting into another document ma...

Hi Steven, Me again, afraid, this is difficult, the computers are still to a large extent unable in some cases to capture the eye: incredible given that we can put probes into outer space so why we can't develop computers to fully photograph the cornea, I don't know? Anyway! So the responses you are...

Thanks - incidentally funny you raising this "alternative" issue - I have been making alot of use of people on the so-called alternative side. I actually sometimes laugh at this whole "conventional/ alternative medicine" talk. To me, from my experience, there is nothing alternati...

Hi there, I am new to this group. you might like to have a look at my contribution under the title "causes". Interesting you raise the issue of your thyroid; my personal belief is that endocrine disorders / biochemical imbalances might be at the heart of KC. these may in some instances hav...
