Speaking of contact lenses, do you happen to know whether you can get good ones made for you in Czechia or in neighboring countries (Germany, Austria etc)? My niece who has been diagnosed with KC recently is studying foreign languages, I don't think it will be too much of a bother if she is to become an interpreter, but will treatment allow her to read a lot if she becomes a journalist, a translator or something like that?

That's a great project, after all, if I got things right, after the operation, your eyesight is as good as it used to be! I have relatives and acquaintances in several armed forces in different countries (Belgian Army, French Navy, Russian Army, Algerian Air Force) and I'll see if they can find data...
