My niece who has been diagnosed with KC recently is studying foreign languages, I don't think it will be too much of a bother if she is to become an interpreter, but will treatment allow her to read a lot if she becomes a journalist, a translator or something like that?

That's a great project, after all, if I got things right, after the operation, your eyesight is as good as it used to be! I have relatives and acquaintances in several armed forces in different countries (Belgian Army, French Navy, Russian Army, Algerian Air Force) and I'll see if they can find data...
