Re: Hi I'm new here

Hi Leanne Oh you so remind me of me some years ago. I was lucky enough to be referred to my local hospital eye clinic though who were and are very good. At first I managed with glasses, but got to the point where I was walking past close friends in the street without seeing them and it all got a bit...

Re: Rules for flying

This is great advice...many thanks all. So just to clarify - I can take as much as I want in my suitcase - so a couple of bottles of Boston, a bottle of saline and a few Systane perhaps. Then in my hand luggage a couple of bottles of Systane (clear plastic bag) to keep fresh and the general advice i...

Rules for flying

Delighted to be going away for a couple of weeks somewhere nice and hot in the summer. Slightly concerned about the rules and regs surrounding the carriage of solutions etc on aeroplanes...hoping someone might be more clued up than I am. My daily needs are met by: Saline solution (which I am sure I ...

Re: Variable sight registration poll

I'd llittle help with the cost of lenses and solutions...I dread to think what we all; spend each year. I doubt that will ever happen though. Strange really, if I needed a wheelchair - the NHS would give me one, if I needed pills to control say Epilepsy - the NHS will give them to me, but I need sol...

Re: Eek

Is it an RGP?? I had exactly that about 2 years ago. I was as usual being really careful and gentle with the lens and it just sort of shattered in my hand. My opthom told me it can happen easily...if you have a scratch or some other weak point on the lens, the wrong pressure in the wrong direction a...

Re: Eyelids

Hi Andrew Chloramphenicol - yes that's the stuff...seems to be doing a good job. That's quite a routine you have there...I'll try to adopt some of it though...many thanks. Can I just ask...when you have this issue (pleased to hear not for some time) does it give you headaches and or neck-ache?? Paul

Eyelids

Suffering a bit at the moment...anyone else had this?? After 6 or so years with very few problems with my RGP hybrid thingy lenses, in the last 3 weeks I've had awful pain in my eyes, dreadful headaches and an inability to wear the damn things. Came to a head when I was at work on Monday with a bang...

Anyone know anything about this lens solution?

This came to me in a sales email from Postoptics...anyone know anything about it? At last - simplicity in a one stop solution The contact lens solution world is not famous for its innovation. For over 20 years we have had the choice between Multipurpose Solutions (MPS) and Hydrogen Peroxide systems...
