Re: Utterly miserable
I don't have filaments, but I have kerataconus and scleral lenses, which, most of the time, are uncomfortable and can be painful, this affects my work life and I can't plan a social life in case my eyes are sore and I have to lie down in the dark. I totally understand what you say, it's miserable, i...

Fed up of air bubbles
I've had scleral lenses for over a year and on good days (rare!!) they are great...most days however, I get them in ok but after a short time, the left always gets an air bubble. I fill the lens with saline to the top so there is a miniscus and I bend over the work top so that I am almost standing o...

Inserting sclerals
Hi I've been trying to use scelerals for 6 months with mixed results. The left one, always gets air bubbles when I use saline and it takes forever to get it in correctly, and the right can be uncomfortable and needs re-inserting throughout the day. My specialist has suggested using a gel for the lef...

Go back and see the ophthalmologist, that sounds like it needs to be checked out.

Re: Why do sclerals feel ok in one eye but aggravate the other??
I think the lens is ok, no noticeable damage, I am very careful with them! Not sure about a scratch on my eye, that may be something to look into next time I see the specialist, thank you for the suggestions.

Re: Why do sclerals feel ok in one eye but aggravate the other??
Thanks, I have some Hylo Tears and use them, they help if my eyes feel dry and stingy, the problem with the right eye occurs without any reason, at any time, and drops don't help, I think I will talk to the contact lens specialist after the holidays.
