Re: Ghosting - does it ever get better?

I have found thought that wearing glasses gives me less ghosting at night, maybe that's the best option for me? From everything I have read it seems as though RGP lenses should always give me the best vision, is it at all possible that glasses could instead? I don't know why your glasses are giving...

Re: Lenses for Sport

Ok thanks, that's good to know! As these are new lenses I'm slightly paranoid about losing them but need to try at least running in them

Re: Ghosting - does it ever get better?

Hi Lia, thank you for your response. I will try and speak with my optician again to see what is available as I believe she is used to complex cases. The last time we spoke we did discuss the ghosting and the fact that it only really happens in low light situations makes it difficult. I have found th...

Ghosting - does it ever get better?

I'm getting more and more concerned about the ghosting that I'm still experiencing 16 months after having CXL and PRK at Moorfields and wondered what others experiences are, does it ever get better? I was diagnosed with Keratoconus in Nov 2016, it had developed for a couple of years but I didn't rea...

Re: Lenses for Sport

Thanks Lia, sorry for the slow reply. I have just got some new hard lenses and the optician advised that for sports such as running and cycling I should be fine in these (I'm yet to actually try though). I want to take up swimming in a month or so so will ask about soft lenses the next time I see my...

Lenses for Sport

Hi, since having CXL last year which has left my vision much more blurry and short sighted than it was pre-operation I've felt that I can't play as much sport as I would like to, especially Football and other team sports, because I know my RGP lenses would fall out and my glasses likely broken. I ju...

Opticians in Barcelona

Hi all, this is a bit of a shot in the dark but I was wondering if anyone here has experience of an optician in Barcelona who specialises in contact lenses for Keratoconus? I arrived in Barcelona yesterday as I'm doing a course here, went for a walk this afternoon, and one of my new lenses (got them...

Re: To all who have joined this forum recently

Thank you Lia. I am out of ten country for a couple of months in Spain so stuck with what I have for now but when I'm next back I will speak with my opticians about the lenses. Is there a recommended site for details on the types of lenses available?

Re: Just had CXL 4 days ago, my vision is awful, will this pass?

Thanks HT57 for sharing your experiences. I had CXL and PRK in March 2017 and since then whilst Moorfields have said my eyes look good and my last scans were fine I still have quite bad ghosting in my vision e.g. there are shadows around everything I look at, when I read I can see ghost images above...
