Lenses for Sport

Hi, since having CXL last year which has left my vision much more blurry and short sighted than it was pre-operation I've felt that I can't play as much sport as I would like to, especially Football and other team sports, because I know my RGP lenses would fall out and my glasses likely broken. I ju...

Opticians in Barcelona

Hi all, this is a bit of a shot in the dark but I was wondering if anyone here has experience of an optician in Barcelona who specialises in contact lenses for Keratoconus? I arrived in Barcelona yesterday as I'm doing a course here, went for a walk this afternoon, and one of my new lenses (got them...

Re: To all who have joined this forum recently

Thank you Lia. I am out of ten country for a couple of months in Spain so stuck with what I have for now but when I'm next back I will speak with my opticians about the lenses. Is there a recommended site for details on the types of lenses available?

Re: Just had CXL 4 days ago, my vision is awful, will this pass?

Re: Help! Broken contact lens.

Hi, having recently got some new lenses I am worried about them breaking or losing them and my mum has been saying I should get insurance for them. Googling this has provided no results and just wondered if anyone else has insured their lenses in-case of breakages?

Re: To all who have joined this forum recently

Hi all, I'm just joining the forum to help get a bit of advice as in late 2016 I was diagnosed with Keratoconus. Fortunately I was able to get referred to Moorfields fairly quickly and in late March 2017 I had PRK and Cross-linking in both eyes. I don't know how many people have had similar experien...

Re: Trying to get referred to Moorfields

Hi Jay, according to the NHS you have the right to choose which hospital you go to: https://www.nhs.uk/NHSEngland/AboutNHSservices/NHShospitals/Pages/HospitalsSummary.aspx#choice I used to live in Reading and initially my GP referred me to the Royal Berkshire but I went back and spoke with them abou...
