Re: CXL Part One - Done
Hi Cherry, As you probably read above I had CXL done in my left eye last Saturday (16th). I returned to work again today after a week and a bit off, driving the usual hour and a bit it takes me. It took 3/4 days for cloudiness to largely clear, and another few days for distance vision to come back i...

Re: 6 months after my CXL haze...
Really glad to hear there's improvement even though it's still slow progress. Is there improvement in what you can see with glasses? Glasses have never worked for my left eye, so I'm wondering if it might be worth trying again after things have settled even though my unaided sight is basically exact...

Re: CXL Part One - Done
My checkup was on Wednesday. Tuesday onwards the haze started to clear and by the time I did the eye test on weds I could see 6/6 again. My peak vision was apparently 6/4.8 in the week after my other eye was done, but I think that was an anomaly, it hasn't been that good since. My left eye has rever...

Re: CXL Part One - Done
Thanks mate. Very blurry today, like I'm looking through smoke. Can see things, just there's no detail there. I assume this is the cornea still healing and inflamed. Think I'll head out in the rain with dark glasses on today to see how I can get by with my bad eye. If nothing else it should be amusi...

Re: "So what do you see then?"
Mine's definitely more like what Cripps posted, for my worse eye. But even then the writing is blurry so I can't really see the writing on signs until I'm close enough that the ghost image doesn't cover up the letters.

Re: CXL Part One - Done
Hi again all. An update for those interested. CXL performed on my right eye yesterday morning. After much deliberation I decided that even with 20/20 in that eye (well, according to the Snellen chart - we all know it doesn't quite translate to the real world) I should go ahead with the procedure in ...

Re: Referred for CXL
I'm in a similar boat, having had cxl done in my worse eye. Last scan on My good was 49 dioptres, which has been classed as mild, and I can still see fine in the day (quite a bit of ghosting at night and reading light text on dark backgrounds). Unfortunately there are no previous scans to check prog...

Delighted to hear some improvement Olly. Fingers crossed for more.
Do they think the long sightedness is temporary until the haze clears further?

Re: CXL Part One - Done
Yeah, the whole mild/moderate/advanced thing is misleading as there's no relation to actual vision - it all depends on the size, shape and position of the cone, etc. Good luck on the 15th Gaz, mine is the 22nd. Hopefully they scan mine again as three months will have passed and, weird as it sounds, ...

Re: CXL Part One - Done
Very annoying indeed. I feel bad sometimes complaining when (at the moment) I'm in a much better position than some others here; certainly it's good to even have this option. I've been trying to find trials/stories from people who have had the procedure done with near perfect vision, but I'm really ...
