Re: Anyone tried AR coated glasses for driving?

Cripps, No i'm not waiting for CXL. When i went last week he told me they don't actually do CXL and he didn't speak very good English so i wasn't going to argue about it seeing as he said there was very little progression and it may have been down to the new and better machine getting a more accurat...

Re: Anyone tried AR coated glasses for driving?

Yeah i must admit, i've never actually heard of this anti-reflective coating. I have heard of the yellow tint night glasses though, i was told there pretty much a scam and are actually unsafe to wear at night. I have a contact lens fitting appointment in 3 months (with NHS so i'm not expecting much)...

Re: Anyone tried AR coated glasses for driving?

If this actually worked it would be great.
Have you found out where could do it and how much it would cost?

Re: Newly diagnosed

Matt, that's pretty much the same as me, i can see 3-4 lines down i think, can't actually remember. (i should of payed more attention) although when you say you can see X amount of lines down, is it crystal clear? with me, it's all got a slight blur, it just gets worse the further down the chart i g...

Re: Newly diagnosed

Hi Matt, Im in a similar situation to you, except it's my right eye which is bad. I was diagnosed about 5 years ago now(I'm 24) My right eye has very, very poor vision on it's own. Although I can still pick off words just over halfway down the eye chart I have really bad ghosting, my left eye on the...

Re: Keratoconus progression..

constantly covering my good eye to 'test' my bad one, i know this probably sounds silly to all of you, but i just can't help it. I still 'test' my eyes every single day, you'd think I'd know what to expect by now! I make sure I ask for a copy of my scans every time I go. See if you can do the same ...

Re: Keratoconus progression..

Have you had any scans yet showing your progression? Are you going for CXL on the NHS? I've been having scans for the past 5 tears yes, every time they say no progression and rush me out the door, but this time i'm not having it, i've done more research on this and now that it could potentially cos...

Re: Keratoconus progression..

I had to come back online as I was concerned my last post would cause a lot of worry. I won't lie.. i did start to stress and worry over that comment, so thank's for commenting again hehe. luckily, only one eye of mine is actually bad.. but glasses wont correct it, i've only ever tried a rigid lens...

Re: Keratoconus progression..

I'm sorry to say this mate as it's not what you want to hear but less than 2 years ago my eyesight was perfect. Now, I can't drive at night... probably, ever again. Thanks for the reply, do you have KC in both eyes, or just one? do lenses not help you whilst driving at night then? I'm gueesing you'...
