Sophie, Good luck on Thursday. Funny we should be having another op nearly a year after our last one, in the same week. Has your eye settled down after having the stitches removed? Will be thinking positive thoughts for you on Thursday and look forward to receiving your happy cornea thoughts! I must...

Just about to have a repeat graft (Friday 21st) on the eye as I haven't gained any vision from the graft. Although the graft is very successful in every other way i.e. clear, no rejection etc. I'm just hoping that it works this time!!!

Thanks Rob,
I wouldn't go by my experience of the drops and cataracts as I seem to have unusual ways of reacting to things and also my healing of my graft was incredibly fast (too fast).
I hope your broken stitches get sorted out and thanks for the support.

Hi Sophie, Congratulations on your degree. I hope your eye settles down soon, as everyone else has said it will be a bit annoyed at being pulled about. When will you have the other running stitch out? Although I haven't had an Intac, I did have my graft restitched whilst under local anesthetic. I sa...

graft, steriods,cataracts!

Was meant to be having a graft today after the one last year didn't work. It's been cancelled till next week due to lack of donors my age. Anyway after being on steriods for nearly a year, the surgeon found out last week that I have developed a cataracts. I've searched through some posts but haven't...

Sorry I'm not being very clear. With regard to the full graft I just meant if there would be a difference with the stitches and tension as opposed to the partial graft. I had the stitches tightened in Jan, a month after the graft as they had cheese wired. Then stitches were removed and a discision t...
