Re: Deteriorating eyesight and cxl in second eye
Changes in glasses prescription are not exclusive to changes of the cornea. Re: Should I get a graft??
There's always risks with any sort of surgery. A graft won't cure keratoconus but the aim is to improve the vision and it's likely you'll still need glasses or similar contact lenses afterwards. Re: Astigmatic Keratotomy
After all 16 of my sutures were removed I was left with a 10.5D cyl! Because of this I couldn't cope very well with specs. The cornea was very steep in one direction and flatter in the other. I had astigmatic/arcuate keratotomy with compressive sutures a year ago in that eye. The aim of the incision...

Re: One Year On.......
My LE I had a PK and it was about 18 months until I could get a reasonable refraction. My RE I had a DALK and it took about 10 months. However the refraction and VAs would fluctuate.

sounds as though you may have dry eyes. as mentioned already...take frequent breaks as it can be difficult to remember to blink more often and try some artificial tears

Re: Post graft disapointment
after a 1 1/2 years post graft my vision unaided 6/18, and 6/12 on good days though my vision was fluctuating a lot. after 3 years its now 6/60 uncorrected, but 6/6 corrected with glasses, so basically my unaided vision has gotten worse (but still way better than pre-graft) but visual acuity has imp...
