Re: Should I get a graft??

Tough one - I'm in a similar but not exactly the same situation. Ultimately, I have chosen not to risk a transplant in my bad eye - As I can 'get by' without needing one. Sounds like something I don't really want to have to go through unless absolutely necessary.

Re: Crosslinking on good eye.

It certainly is a tough call. I'd never want to advise someone not to do it, then watch their vision deteriorate... keeping a close eye (excuse the pun) on your progression is definitely the key. I only asked your age because when asking for advice, something said to me was if I was under 30 - Go fo...

Re: Contact lenses advice please

I've just replied to someone else asking them if they've tried regular astigmatism soft lenses... why opticians are so eager to push RGPs as a first port of call I do not know. Were you told if your KC is mild/moderate/severe? If mild/moderate definitely try softs first - I use Bausch+Lomb PureVisi...

Re: Ghosting worsening but topography unchanged

Have you tried regular astigmatism soft lenses? For some reason my eye unit put me on RGPs first... hated them, but I get 95% as good vision with softs, which is definitely worth it as they're 100% more comfortable! I wear mine up to 10 hours a day without a problem, as long as I use eye drops for l...

Re: II love yet hate disability

Glad to see positivity from someone who's certainly had a rough old time of things. Makes me even more annoyed at the constant negativity I hear (mainly at work) from people without any real problems... they just like to moan for the sake of it.

Re: Crosslinking on good eye.

Do you know how quickly your progression is on your good eye? Also how old are you? I thought long and hard about getting CXL performed on my good eye, and in the end I went for it. Turns out, it was a bad choice for me as something went wrong with the procedure and now my good eye is my bad eye :cr...

Re: Ghosting worsening but topography unchanged

To answer your final question, yes, my ghosting is terrible now - However my topography hasn't changed. For me though, this was due to severe hazing occurring during CXL. Just count yourself lucky that a contact lens helps for you! With me, there is literally nothing they can do, unless I consider a...

Re: Dealing with anxiety and depression from KC

How do you guys deal with the anger that comes with accepting your vision is no longer what it once was and unlikely to ever be again. My right eye was always worse than my right and after crosslinking in october on the right I have noticed ghosting so much more, really regret having the surgery as...
