I've also at times used body shop shower gel, liquid soap from the loos at work, and various other things, and never had a problem with them. OK, so I'm lucky...... Rosemary Rosemary, With solutions not being readily available on prescription I too, would welcome a lower cost alternative. Not sure ...

Good Lord ! Fairy Liquid ! I'll have a word with Ken Pullum when I see him next. 'Spose it too removes protein well  . On the specific len cleaner option I did find the cost of Boston Advance soewhat shocking - £6 in Boots. If I recall correctly the Asda version of Miraflow was only about Â...

Alternatives to Miraflow....?

All,

I've been using Asda Daily Contact Lens cleaner as an alternative to Miraflow (exactly the same active ingredients).

However, I've had problems sourcing the Asda stuff, tried 3 stores....what do others use with their RGP sclerals?

Any help appreciated.

Asda own brand 'Daily Contact Lens Cleaner' has the same active ingredients as Miraflow. Costs £1.99 for 25ml and comes recommended by Ken Pullum at Moorfields. What is the cost of Amidose by the way ? I need to find a good regular supplier shortly and am not best pleased that this essential soluti...

Advice on recovering from hydrops episode

Hi everyone, I'm new to the group and looking for some advice. I've been wearing a scleral lens for just over a year now but unfortunately suffered a hydrops last Monday. I've been prescribed the hypertonic saline and advised that 10-12 weeks is the current best guess for recovery but today was my f...
