Kris,
I saw Rakesh Jayaswal at Guildford Nuffield, very nice man who took alot of time to explain options to me. Would definately recommend.

Re: Athens Procedure
The actual procedure was pain free, but it was painful for the few days following - the anesthetic drops really help though. I had just over 2 weeks off work. My vision is still blurry due to hazing but I'm told the procedure has worked to improve the shape of my cornea and my vision should continue...

Re: Corneal Haze from Cross-linking
I had mine done epi-off, this is because I had the Athen's procedure not just the CXL. James, I am trying to leave work before dark bacause I am more comfortable driving in day light! Car lights drive me mad and I'm getting alot of halos etc. I am still light sensitive, but nothing compared to the f...

Re: Athens Procedure
I had it done 4 weeks ago now, it is available in the UK, but unfairly (in my opinion!) only through private treatment.

Re: Corneal Haze from Cross-linking
James, I had an appointment with my surgeon on Tuesday, he said that my vision is worse than prior to the treatment because of hazing on my cornea due to the crosslinking procedure (basically scarring from how he described it), he said that this is common and that it should eventually go, he suggest...

Re: Corneal Haze from Cross-linking
Hi James,
Has your haze/blurrying settled down? I had CXL (& Athens Protocol) 3 weeks ago and my vision is still worse than before the surgery. I'm probably being impatient, but also worrried it won't improve...

Re: pain and sensitivity to light
Hi, I get similar symptoms although not pain bad enough to ever go to casualty - poor you. I asked my gp to refer me to a specialist a few years back and since then I have been getting contact lenses fitted by an expert at the hospital which had meant much better fittings so that I can wear them for...

Re: Where to go next?
Hi Stacey, I have similar problems to you especially with bright lights and night driving. I have been struggling with the rigid lens in my 'bad' eye and I am now having CXL and T-CAT laser treatment in 2 weeks time... I'm hoping this is the right decision to improve my vision and hopefully be able ...
