Re: Rose K2 lens subsidised by NHS?

I got Rose K2 lenses through St Thomas's at NHS rates a year or so back.

Hope this helps?

Re: what counts as KC progression...?

Thanks Anne. I wasn't given any other figures (maybe i'll get more detail when the follow up letter eventually arrives), however as far as i'm aware from previous appointments, the thickness of the cornea is not an issue. The reason the hospital can't offer me CXL on the NHS at the moment is because...

what counts as KC progression...?

After a few years of being told that my KC is relatively stable, I was recently told both eyes are showing progression. One eye, previously crosslinked, has progressed by '1 diopter' and the other by '4 diopters' over a period of about 14 months. I was advised to start considering crosslinking for m...

Re: Cross Linking Post Procedure and Ulcers

Hi Tez, I think how long you have to leave lenses out may partially depend on whether you had epi-on, or epi-off CXL. It's a few years since I had epi-on, but from memory I think I was able to wear my hard lens (Rose K2) for short periods within 3(ish), maybe 4 weeks of the procedure. However I defi...

Re: Kerasoft lenses and haloing/glare

Gareth & munster, thank you very much for your replies, and for the information. I will keep my fingers crossed that further lens adjustments will improve things. munster - I think your drawing is a very good impression of night vision and the problem of haloing... I hope you don't mind if I tak...

Re: Kerasoft lenses and haloing/glare

Thanks for the info munster...although not really what I was hoping to hear...!

I would say the vision I am getting at night is worse than your drawing shows - the halos are probably 2-3 times the size at least :(

Kerasoft lenses and haloing/glare

I have just started wearing Kerasoft lenses after 10+ years in RGPs (although for the last few months, i've only been wearing RGPs for a couple of hours a day due to tolerance issues). I'm almost a week into my first wearable set of Kerasofts, and have an appointment to go back for further adjustmen...

Re: Kerasoft Advice

Hello Lew, I cannot fully answer your question, but for the last few months I have been going through almost exactly the same situation as you describe. I never managed 20+ hours from RGP lenses, but generally got around 11 hours for 10+ years, suddenly dropping to only a couple of hours in my left ...

Re: Kerisoft lenses - fitting process?

Thanks Tom

I have an initial appointment with the private optician on Monday, so guess I will see what he thinks, and make a decision as to whether to go down the private or NHS route after that

Thanks again

Ian

Kerisoft lenses - fitting process?

I apologise if this has been covered elsewhere on the forum... I am 31, have relatively advanced KC in both eyes, one eye crosslinked about 18 months ago, and currently have Rose K lenses. However I have been having serious lens tollerence issues over the last few months, suddenly dropping from 10+ ...
