Re: CXL one eye or both?
I hope it all goes well for you :) Thank you. I ended up doing both which personally I think was a good option as the burning sensation first day was not something I want to look forward to for the other eye. Pentacam scans pre and post (7 weeks after CXL) attached here for anyone interested Vision...

Re: CXL one eye or both?
I had CXL on my right eye.. which was clearly progressing at a young age. My left (better) eye has remained relatively stable for eight years now.. the advice given to me was if it’s not broke, don’t fix it. For peace of mind, it’d be nice to know the left had little to no chance of progressing by ...

Re: CXL one eye or both?
Thank you so much for the input. I think I will go for both eyes but will get a private consultation as a 2nd opinion and then see what that consultant says.. it seems like the CYL value has been increasing in both eyes over the years... I think I will probably struggle to find any consultant who do...

CXL one eye or both?
Hi all I have been diagnosed with Keratoconus since I was 24 and was in monitoring for a couple of years then and it didn't progress. Recently (nearly 12 years on) my optometrist referred me to an ophthalmologist again as my eye sight kept changing each year and now the ophthalmologist has recommend...

Re: Cross-linking clinical trial
1. If you were eligible for this trial, would you be keen to participate? Yes. 2. If you weren’t eligible (e.g. KC too advanced, rigid contact lens wearer or you’ve had a corneal graft), would you have been likely to participate if you could wind the clock back? N/A 3. For those of you living outsid...

Re: Diagnosis of KC and next steps
Thanks everyone for the comments. I will wait for the next consultant appointment to see if KC is progressing before I decide on CXL and contact BUPA. Re: RGP lenses, is it worth getting a contact lens consultation anyway and maybe go for soft lenses if judged appropriate by the contact lens special...
