Re: Rose K2 lens subsidised by NHS?
Thanks all for the replies. Seems little doubt that these lenses should be available. Had to get mine fiited in the high street, but will certainly pursue the NHS route again. Ideally I'd love to try scleral lenses, but my condition is compounded by astigmatisms (not associated with KC) in both eyes...

Rose K2 lens subsidised by NHS?
Just wonder if anyone here has managed to get Rose K2 lenses subsidised by the NHS, or if anyone can confirm they are on the approved NHS list for KC treatment and should be available?
Thanks,
Russ

Re: How finely can the fit of RGPs be tuned.
Thanks, I will certainly ask. I think soft lenses do have timing marks to check that they are sitting correctly, but not sure about RGPs.

How finely can the fit of RGPs be tuned.
Have just been fitted with a RoseK2 RGP contact lens for my weaker KC eye. Overall the comfort and performance of the lens is pretty good; still building up my wear time. I do notice if I very slightly nudge the lens at its bottom (6 o'clock position) to one side that my vision sharpens even more. A...

Re: Kerasoft - quick question
In terms of the interface with the eye, what is the difference between Kerasoft ICs and regular soft lenses? As I understand things RGP lenses allow a tear film to form at the interface of the eye and the lens which filling in the troughs of the distortion on the surface of the cornea. Soft lenses j...

Storage case for RGPs - included with storage solution?
Just switched back to RGPs from soft lenses. Hospital optician mentioned several cleaning/storage solution brands, but think I'll most likely go with the AMO Total Care system. Just wondered do these solutions (like the soft lens cleaners) come with an overnight storage case or do these need to be p...

Re: Anti glare coatings for glasses. Any good?
Thanks Andrew, I'll certainly be opting for the anti glare. Will be managing my KC soon with combination of an RGP lens in one eye and glasses correcting the milder KC in the other. Also, need reading glasses to counter presbyopia.

Re: Anti glare coatings for glasses. Any good?
Thanks Cherry. Even a small improvement is worth the cost, which I think is somewhere around £30.

Anti glare coatings for glasses. Any good?
Just wondered if anyone can comment from experience if anti glare coatings for prescription glasses help to reduce ghosting/starbursts when driving?
Thanks,
Russ

Hi Anne,
Many thanks for the reply.
Just trying to work out what will be the most suitable larger hospital. I live in Iver, Bucks (about 5 miles north of Heathrow) so by my reckoning that would be Moorfileds or possibly the Royal Berks in Reading.
