Re: Toric ICL
Hi Ian, I've had C3R performed in both eyes - the most recent being in February this year on my stronger left eye. The procedure itself is not painful, even the part where they scrape parts of your cornea! However, both times I have found the first 48 hours or so to be quite painful. I did nothing b...

Re: Toric ICL
Hi Dubai Gal, That is fantastic that you are doing so well with the toric ICL! I am thinking of having a toric lens implanted in my left eye too after having had C3R done six months ago. I am curious to know whether your visian with the ICL is better/similar than what you achieved with glasses befor...

Re: CK For Keratoconus
Thanks for that Lynn. The reason I am curious is that I have had both C3R and intacs performed in my right eye in that order here in the UK and am interested to know whether anyone here has had CK after either of these procedures or if you have seen it done in keratoconic eyes. I did ask my surgeon ...

CK For Keratoconus
Hi All, Has anyone come across or had CK performed for Keratoconus? It is supposed to re-model the cornea and reduce astigmatism using energy and is performed by Dr. Brian Boxer-Wachler in the US. I'm sure many of you have come across his name before as he is quite a prominent figure in the Keratoco...

Re: Going back to contacts after Intacs
Thanks Liz, thats still a good six months after the surgery. Did you have stiches with your intacs or just the bandage lens? I will definitely be seeing my lens practitioner as the shape of my eye has certainly changed. at the six week check-up, astigmatism was down from -8 to -1. However, i am now ...

Going back to contacts after Intacs
Hi Everyone, First off, this forum is an outstanding resource! Now to my question, I have recently had intacs placed into my right eye (6 and half weeks ago), which is my more keratoconic eye. I had the procedure done 6 weeks ago after CXL in June 2008. Vision without hard lenses was very poor befor...

Re: Recovery periods of CXL and INTACS???
Hi Guys, I have recently had intacs placed into my right eye, which is my more keratoconic eye. I had the procedure done 6 weeks ago after CXL in June 2008. Vision without hard lenses was very poor before but my vision with lenses was outstanding (although i do struggle with red eyes and dry eyes wh...

Re: CROSSLINKING IN BOTH EYES - WHAT TO EXPECT
Hi Caroline, I have had both eyes done at Centre For Sight separately. While the procedure itself is not too daunting there can be quite a bit of pain for the first 2-3 days. I had my eye covered completely for a good 2-3 days. The bandage contact lens is usually removed after about 48 hours althoug...
