Hi Bruce, The regulations are that any liquids/lotions/creams/pastes gels etc you have should be in quantities of 100ml (each item not in total) or less and need to be carried in a resealable clear plastic bag up to 20cm x 20cm, you will be asked to remove this from your main hand luggage bag when y...

I will try to find out internally with my employer whether they would be willing to do this also, but it may take me a while to find out who to ask. I'll let you all know if i get anywhere

I think you could contact the BAA to ask if you are able to bring them, and asking your optom if you can get a prescription for you solutions etc would help. I know that if you have prescription liquids but you are unable to taste them to prove that they are innocuous, they are currently taking you ...

The problem is that it is not the airline imposing these regulations so contacting them before you fly will not help. Liquids are confiscated from you at security before you ever get close to a plane, but you can take on liquids that you buy airside (with the exception of flights to the us) without ...

Hi John, I think the main thing is that you cannot take bottles of solutions onboard at the moment, but small amounts of solutions in lens cases are ok, therefore if you need a bottle of solution to fill your sclerals then I think you are right, you won't be able to use them. The only thing I can th...

If anyone is still interested in this. I work for an airline and the directive is that you can take sealed daily disposable contact lenses on board for use during the flight (only 1 or 2 sets). If you have longer wear lenses or hard lenses, you can take your lens case filled with solution, but no ad...

Hi John, I'm sure that this will work because i'm not particularly familiar with the way that spammers work despite working in IT!. I assume that the spammers register using some automated process which is why using the weird character thing prevents them from registering. I understand the point abo...

I'm 29 and I was told about a year ago that I have KC. I have worn glasses since I was about 12 and moved onto soft contact lensed when I went to uni at 18. I had been getting on fine with glasses and lenses until about 2 years ago when I started to wake up with my eyes almost completely dry and the...

Hi,

I'm also new to this forum, but i'm in the process of becoming a full member. I have the same issue of finding an optician in my area. I live in Hillingdon, West London so if anyone can recommend someone in this area, i'd really appreciate it.

Thanks
Emma
