Re: 5 yrs post cxl- vision correction options

I would agree to Lynn. But, if your cornea is thick enough you could try topography or pentacam guided PRK. The best surgeons for it are Dr. Cummings in Dublin (I had the surgeries there) and Dr. Kanellopou8los in Athens. But I would try it ONLY if you don´t get enough vision with lenses or if you c...

Re: keraflex

Hi Epik,

you must be patient, this is much to early to valuate this.

You will see the real benefits after 6-8 months. I had the procedure too. But with Dr. Cummings in Dublin, he and Dr. K in Greece are the best in it I think.
Wish you luck!!

Re: keraflex

hi there, yes please be very careful about this avedro device. At the moment I think the best options is Athens Protocol pentacam-guided prk plus crosslinking. Second best: Crosslinking then after 12 months or later topo-limited pentacam-guided prk. Maybe the next years developments in infrared base...

Re: PRK + CLX

Hi,

3.500 per one eye oder both eyes?
I guess one, right?

besides Dr.K is very good. I had the same procedure with Dr. Cummings WEC in Dublin.
He is also one of the best eyes surgeons.

Was 460 microns your thickness after or before epithelium removal?

Best regards and wish you so much luck!

Re: sclera lenses

I think I should try this lens mabye. I must ask my fitter as soon as possible. Is it "Acuvue Oasys" or "Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism" with Headraclear Plus? Only second one I found in the net with 0,00 sphere. Or what refractive value do you have in your Acuvue? Thanks again!! A...

Re: sclera lenses

Thank you very much! Your Experiences make me feel hopeful! What manufacturer or name is your soft lens? That would be very interesting. I had worn a piggy-back system with a normal keratoconus RGP. Here I used a one called "AirOptix Night and Day" with zero sphere. These lenses theoretica...

Re: sclera lenses

Hi, I was in Dublin for SimLC with Dr. Cummings and here I got to know Clare too. I had just a short talk with her after the surgery. She is really very nice. So at the moment I am also trying to wear mini-sclerallenses. Not So2Clear. I don´t know the manufacturer. Is it really possible to wear a so...

Re: keraflex

Hi Marc, really I feel with you. I am struggeling myself with this Fu***** disease. I lost my job because of it. Normally I work the whole day on the computer and I need 90-100% vision. Can you still work now? I think now you must wait, also if it is hard, maybe 3 months and get some Topographies of...
