Re: INTACs failure

Hello Helen, Sorry to hear about your INTAC failure. I also had an INTAC failure. I had a single INTAC inserted into the superior of my right cornea a couple of years ago. My vision didn't improve even though it altered the profile of my cornea. The main problem was with my night vision with me expe...

Re: links between keratoconous and other conditions?

Your entire body consists of collagen to some degree or another. If KC was linked to that you'd expect KC folk to have a massively greater percentage of connective tissue disorders in relation to the general population, (or people with connective tissue disorders to have a far greater incidence of K...

Re: keraflex

Hello, I have a little more information on the KXL procedure. I've just had a corneal graft in my right eye to correct my KC. During my pre-op my consultant informed me that he thought I would be a perfect candidate for the Keraflex procedure. This was something to do with the integrity of my cornea...

On the waiting list for INTACs.

Hi everyone, I thought I’d share with you my recent experiences regarding my K.C. My last post here several months ago described a confusing consultation I had with a rather unhelpful consultant; the only useful information I came away with was a name of an INTAC specialist to whom I then got a refe...

A confusing consultation.

Hello everyone. This is a long post so please move on if you wish, though I've tried to abbreviate it a little. I just thought I'd share my recent experiences. Briefly, after 12ish years of stability my KC began to progress in my left (good) eye again and so after much ado I recently got myself into...
