Re: Synergeyes KC

I'm on my 3nd year with Synergeyes A for my right eye (less severe)... and my second year with Synergeyes PS (very severe with INTACs). I've been having decent results 20/25 right, 20/30 left and I can usually wear them 14-16 hours without a problem. I just get random days where my left eye really d...

Re: KC and Lens help

And always remember to ask about other lens types. There are a few options out there for those that aren't having good results with RGPs. Just to name a few.... Other RGP/hard types: Rose-K Intra-Limbal lenses (larger size RGP) Mini-Sclarel lenses (even larger) Sclarel lenses (larger still, sometime...

Re: Synergeyes lenses?

I've been using a Synergeyes lens in my right eye for just over a year now with good success. I had been using a SoftPerm prior, and an RGP before that. I am now intolerant to RGPs in both eyes. I tried a Synergeyes KC lens in my left eye last year but the comfort was not good (I also have INTACS in...

Ciba Vision Clear Care (Aosept Plus in the UK) can be used for hard and soft lenses. Its also a preservative free peroxide based solution that when used in the special case (and only the special lens case) is slowly neutralized into saline over the course of approximately 6 hours. http://www.cibavis...

I can sometimes feel them when i am taking my contacts out of that eye.. but more of an awareness that they are there as opposed to soreness or discomfort.

If you get functional vision with just the INTACS (or do one eye at a time), you could probably return to work the next day without a problem. Thats how it worked for me. I had only one eye done (left) and could get by with my contact lens in the other eye. I was back at work the next day. This also...

I had INTACS placed in my left (more severe) eye. The procedure itself was pretty straight forward (about 30 minutes total for the procedure itself) and there was no pain. A bit of scratchiness for a few days after, but otherwise uneventful. I didn't get any vision improvement out of it, but my surg...

To answer in a slightly different way... I'd say that there is nothing that KC has prevented me from doing or been the cause of me to fail.

Sure, some inconveniences here and there, but on the whole, KC has not kept me down at all.

I have INTACS in one eye (left) and it always seems like I can feel them when I take my lenses out. I've had no problems with them though, and have frequent checkups (procedure was done in May 2005 - I see my OD or surgeon at least 4-10 times a year combined). The channels for my INTACS were done wi...
