Hi I had Keratoconus for about 5 yrs now and wear RGP lenses. One eye has developed worse than the other and thankfully they havent got worse that much since i was diagnosed. I have had Keratoconus for about 3 yrs now in both eyes. I wear RGP lenses and they are generally comfortable day to day. Hi Johnni and welcome! As Michael says, the risk with tap water is infections. There is a particularly nasty bug called acanthamoeba which may be in the water and infection with this can lead to blindness. If you've now stopped using tap water, then you won't have done any harm. But the message to ...

I was diagnosed with KC in Nov 2005. When i sneeze they never fall out just get dispaced on my eye fortunatly.
My optician said that cos im 25 i would have seen a difference by now if i were to he said cos usually its in the teens they can deteriorate.
