Post graft stitiches
Does anyone still have their stitches in a long time after their graft? I have a 9mm very asymmetrical graft. The bottom touches the white of my eye and the top skirts my pupil. Due to the distance at the top from any blood vessels it has not really healed. 18 months post surgery and I still have 11...

Re: Corneal Graft...
I had my right eye CXL about 6 years ago. It was one of the worst experiences I have had and the pain was terrible. I had a graft in my left eye 18 months ago. A couple of hours after the surgery I had 2 paracetamol and that was only really because the hospital told me too. No pain at all. Give me a...

Re: Vision with sclerals
I have had sclerals for a few years and assuming the fit is ok, if I have vision problems it is generally due to solutions. If I don't get the solutions right then the lens does not 'wet' properly so over time it gets foggy. I know everyone is different but what works for me is:- At night once I hav...

Re: Hi all advice please
Can't progress after 35 ?? This drives me nuts to hear this. I was only diagnosed in my left eye at 39 and at that time my right eye was 100% fine and I was told by the Edinburgh Eye clinic it was impossible to get it in my right eye as I was so old ... 1 year later I had my right eye cross linked.

Re: X linking this week!
I was also in the later group who experienced a lot of pain. Make sure he has sun glasses handy at all times. I wore them indoors for first few days and was unable to venture out for about 4 days and even the only with glasses on. And I slept a lot too. But it is worth the pain. 5 years on and my sc...

Re: Hybrid lens care
I had a hybrid lens for years and only stopped wearing it a few months ago (nothing to do with the lens - I needed an emergency graft). I used to store them in this http://www.opti-free.com/contact-lens-solution/replenish-moisturizing-solution/ I used to just give them a gentle rub with solution. On...

Post graft lenses
When people have had a graft, how long have they waited until they have been allowed to wear a soft lens?

Patient View
Does anyone know if it is possible to get access to Patient View after a graft? http://www.patientview.org I have Crohn's disease and KC and have just had a graft. Managing my graft and Crohns is complex. I am lucky that I have a brilliant Corneal Surgeon and Gastroenterologist consultant ... but a ...

Re: Semi scleral lenses
Hi I have been through the same situation and tried all sorts and now have a more of less 95% first time try success rate getting my lens in. I have a 14.5mm lens in my right eye and in my left eye have previously had 16mm - but actually had a graft 10 days ago so not wearing it now. This may not wo...
