KC Group Newsletter

Autumn 2003

Membership Survey

Many thanks to all the members who returned a completed survey form following our previous newsletter. Your replies were invaluable in helping us to plan the conference and in letting the guest speakers we had on education and employment issues know what they needed to talk about at the event. Your replies have also told us a great deal about the wide range of experience of KC among Group members, what most concerns you about KC and will help us to decide what the priorities for the future should be.

We received replies from just over half the membership. If you put the form
to one side, thinking you would fill it in later, and then thought it was too late - it isn't! We would still love to hear from you. Our aim is to publish the results of the survey to improve knowledge about the condition among people in general, and among the health professionals who see people with KC. But if only half of our members have completed the survey, we can't be sure that we are really representing all your views and experiences. So, if you haven't returned the form, please dig it out from beneath that pile of 'things to be done' and send it in.

If you need another form please contact Anne Klepacz at the Group
address or email Anneklepacz@aol.com

Gift Aid

Using gift aid means that for every pound you give, our charity receives an extra 28
pence from the Inland Revenue, helping your donation go further. This means that £10 can be turned into £12.80, so long as you are UK taxpayer and that donations are made through Gift Aid. Imagine what a difference that could make, and it doesn’t cost you a thing.

So if you would like your donation to go further, Gift Aid it. Just complete the form
in block capitals and return it to us.

All members will find Gift Aid forms enclosed with this newsletter. Please fill
them in and return them to the Group. Many members have been requesting that we do this. Gift Aid will enable us to reclaim tax on donations made to the group in the past and for all future donations. If anyone has any queries on Gift Aid or any other issue to do with our accounts please contact the Group Treasurer Matt Allgood at the Group address.
